BOUNDARY RE-ALIGNMENT
A Boundary Re-alignment is similar to a subdivision although it involves moving an existing boundary between two adjacent parcels of land without creating any new lots.
A Boundary Re-alignment is usually undertaken by two neighbours who have come to an agreement for one of them to purchase a section of adjoining back yard etc. from the other.
The process involves cooperation from all property owners involved to achieve the desired result.
Please note that there are stamp duty, name transfer and mortgage implications which need to be attended to prior and during the time of lodgement of the Certified subdivision plan at Land Victoria.
